Merritt Myers Wall, an accomplished higher education leader with more than two decades of experience in government affairs and university advancement, is the new chief government and community relations officer at 名媛直播 (MGA).

Wall, who began her new role this month, leads MGA’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with government and community stakeholders. She serves as the University’s primary liaison to local, state, and federal officials, as well as civic and business leaders, advancing legislative and community priorities and promoting the institution’s mission as a catalyst for regional growth.

“I am thrilled to join 名媛直播 and to be part of a team so deeply committed to the success of the students and communities we serve,” Wall said. “MGA plays a significant role as a producer of workforce-ready graduates. I look forward to collaborating with partners to strengthen connections, advance opportunity, and champion the University’s vital role in driving growth and innovation.”

Before joining MGA, Wall served as chief external affairs officer at Valdosta State University (VSU), where she led government affairs strategy and represented institutional interests with local, state, and federal officials.

In previous positions at VSU, Wall directed alumni relations and annual giving and oversaw the Center for South Georgia Regional Impact. Earlier in her career she was vice president for industry outreach and government affairs at AgWorks H2, LLC. She has also held a series of senior roles in government, including service as legislative director for U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston and as a legislative assistant to U.S. Sen. Zell Miller.

“The role of chief government and community relations officer is critical to how MGA fulfills its mission as a regional engine for opportunity and progress,” said MGA President Christopher Blake, Ph.D. “Strong relationships with civic and governmental partners are essential to advancing the University’s strategic goals. This work reflects the breadth of MGA’s commitment to collaboration and service in our five campus communities and with multiple stakeholders.  Merritt brings a wealth of experience and vision to this vital role, and we are delighted to welcome her to the MGA leadership team.”

Wall earned her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication from VSU. She is a graduate of Leadership Lowndes and South Georgia Leads and active in numerous civic and professional organizations.
