My beliefs align with this philosophy. Once you feel that you have learned enough, mistakes begin to happen. When you stop learning, you cut off opportunities to grow as a student as well as an adult. Learning does not just happen in the classroom, it continues in society. The goal in the classroom is to be able to utilize tools that can allow one to function outside the university and succeed. The amazing thing about teaching is that students can learn the same thing but be taught in different ways. Not everyone learns the same. It is vital that instructors can adapt to different teaching styles and environments. Some learners are auditory, while others are visual or hands-on. Keeping an open mind to teaching styles can allow students to achieve their goals with hard work. Creating an environment where students can engage in the classroom allows instructors to assess the student鈥檚 ability to retain information taught. One creates a diverse atmosphere in the classroom when students are engaging in active learning. This will allow the instructor to be able to determine if the content taught in the classroom was delivered effectively or if any changes should be made.
