Statement of Teaching and research interests

As a nursing educator, my teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning is most effective when it is active, student-centered, and deeply connected to real-world practice. I am passionate about preparing future nurses not only to excel clinically but also to lead with compassion, integrity, and resilience. I integrate current evidence-based practices, embrace innovation, and model lifelong learning. With the use of active learning strategies, I create a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to engage critically with content, collaborate with peers, and apply their knowledge through hands-on experiences. My passion for nursing drives me to continually evolve as an educator I aim to inspire students not only to become skilled practitioners but also to find joy and purpose in their nursing journey.

My research interests center on enhancing nursing education through the integration of active learning strategies, the development of clinical judgment, and the innovative use of technology. I aim to investigate the cognitive and experiential factors that influence clinical reasoning and explore evidence-based methods to assess and strengthen these skills throughout the curriculum. I am interested in leveraging digital tools—including virtual simulations, adaptive learning platforms, and AI-enhanced feedback systems—to personalize instruction and provide realistic, immersive learning experiences. Ultimately, my research seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that nursing graduates are not only knowledgeable but also confident, competent, and prepared to deliver safe, high-quality care in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
