Biography: | Dr. Yaseen S. Alhaj-Yaseen is a Professor of Finance at 名媛直播, where he has been teaching since 2018 and was awarded tenure in 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics with a minor in Statistics from Kansas State University, an M.S. in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia, and an M.A. in Economics with a minor in Finance from Texas Tech University. Since beginning his teaching career in 2004, Dr. Yaseen has instructed both undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and economics, ranging from corporate finance and investments to international finance and derivatives. His research focuses on investment, asset pricing, international finance, and financial market efficiency, with a strong emphasis on behavioral finance and cross-market price discovery. His work has been published in respected journals such as the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of Behavioral Finance, Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies, and Applied Financial Economics. He is also an active conference presenter and discussant, with a consistent record of scholarly engagement at national and international academic forums. In addition to his academic career, Dr. Yaseen is a Certified Financial Planner鈩 (CFP庐) with professional experience in financial planning, investment research, and client advisory services. He currently works in financial consultation with a specialization in succession planning, helping clients structure and preserve wealth across generations. He holds multiple professional licenses, including FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, and 7, as well as Georgia Life, Accident, and Sickness Insurance licenses. His combined expertise in academia and practice enables him to bridge theory and application, preparing students and clients alike to navigate the complexities of today鈥檚 financial landscape. |
